Fragrant flower meadows, clear mountain lakes, panoramic hiking trails and crisp bike trails
bike trails: come up, switch off and unwind in peace and quiet!
One of our most beautiful hikes is the four-lake hike from Engelberg to Melchsee-Frutt. All the hikes, including description and hiking time, are listed on the hiking page of the destination.
The Frutt train departs from the old mountain station in the centre of the village and stops several times on its way to Tannalp. In Tannalp there are not only fine menus in the mountain guesthouse, but also an Alpine cheese dairy.
For young and old guests alike, there are ten stations around Lake Melchsee, which present information concerning the marmot in a playful way.
The discOWer ropes park right next to the Stöckalp valley station promises climbing fun on nine routes with various difficulty levels. The ropes park also offers a great barbecue area.
The rock band at Bonistock features over 160 climbing routes. The rock offers a wide variety of climbs and difficulty levels from 3a to 8 on the French scale.
Fishing fun is guaranteed in lakes Melchsee, Tannensee and Blausee. The obligatory licence can be obtained online or at the hotel. We are happy to prepare your fish for you in our restaurants.
Various fireplaces on Melchsee-Frutt invite you to barbecue. All fireplaces are equipped with dry wood, a grill, tables and benches. At the reception, you can order barbecue packages in advance.
One of the largest karst cave systems in Switzerland is located in the Melchtal region. Along with a cave guide, you can dive into the exciting underworld full of secrets.
The information office for the guests on Melchsee-Frutt is located in the old cable car station, in the middle of the village.
